Here at the McKenzie House, a boutique Inn & Suites situated on Awbrey Butte in the more desirable west side of Bend, we offer classic & comfortable state rooms with easy access to the river, parks, trails, shops & restaurants. On occasion we plan to gather for inclusive private events, like backyard concerts and wine tastings. We are inclusive in our frolicking and we have a healthy respect for the diversity of others.

FUTURE WINEMAKER
Now I'm laying the groundwork to make wine! To that end, I am currently studying viticulture and enology through UC Davis (online) in the hopes of becoming a master winemaker.
GENUINE PEOPLE
I've spent the last several years getting to know tasting hosts and winemakers, and their wines and trades (and thoughts on life). Aside from the wildly fantastic and emotionally evocative tastes I've enjoyed, it's the genuinely good people in this industry, full of character and dimension, that keep me wanting to explore. Bringing those people together, is the inspiration for my latest project...
This wine industry collective is still in its infant stage, so I/we still have many ways to develop it, with shared wine related resources, learning, tastings, experiences, winemaker introductions, etc. Hoping to do some of that here at the McKenzie House.
The House
of McKenzie
The two story yellow craftsman style McKenzie House was built on a half-acre wooded and landscaped property with 100+ year old trees, birds, squirrels and wandering resident deer.
The first floor interior contains rich wood floors, a brick and tile accented full kitchen, two fire places, a living room and dining area. Our appliances include a built-in oven, a built-in microwave/convection oven, a gas stovetop range, a dishwasher, a refrigerator/freezer with ice-maker, and various other smaller appliances.
The 1st floor exterior includes two wooden deck porches with an outside stone surface pizza oven, and an outdoor brick patio with fireplace, BBQ and three table seating areas. Street parking is always plentiful and available.
The 2nd floor interior includes the Stella State Room and the William State Room which share a full bathroom.
The Rooms

The second floor octagonal William State Room has walls of windows with a view of 100+ year old trees, birds, squirrels and wandering resident deer. The room accommodates up to 2 guests with access to a 2nd floor full bathroom w/tub and shower, shared with the Stella State Room across the way. Furnished with a queen size four post bed, a flatscreen TV w/Apple TV and stereo w/mobile phone hookups, a closet with drawers, a chest of drawers, and access to the rest of the beautiful house.
The second floor Stella State Room has matching octagonal windows with a view of 100+ year old trees, birds and squirrels. The room accommodates up to 2 guests with access to a 2nd floor full bathroom w/tub and shower, shared with the William State Room across the way. Furnished with a queen size log bed, a flatscreen TV w/Apple TV, a built in desk, a closet with shelves, and access to the rest of the beautiful house.
